CT Esports Academy, Registration is Open!

What is CT Esports Academy?

CT Esports Academy (CTEA) aims to integrate the successful lessons and tutelage of the traditional sports world to the new Esports world that has been expanding online, by bringing it in person and focusing on a growth mindset. By bringing structure, coaching, socializing, and positive culture to video games, we are maximizing our athletes’ potential and showing them the amazing opportunities that lay on the horizon for their chosen Esport.

At CT Esports Academy we offer programs for the casual gamer who wants to meet new friends, STEM coding courses from the basics of video game creation to mastery, safe environments to create, share, and enjoy gaming experiences as well as elite-level training for those players looking to take this all the way! We’ll help you along the way, from competing at your first LAN event to becoming a top rated player of your game!

WHY CTEA?
We want to create safe environments for adolescents to learn and explore the depths of the Esports world, recognizing the lessons of organized sports and trying to bring that energy of determination, responsibility and discipline to the digital landscape.

In-person gaming also allows for a safer environment to game within with our dedicated staff there not only to improve the skills of the gamers on our teams and in our clubs but by providing a safe environment with maturity filters that follow the guidelines set forth by parents and experts from Common Sense Media and ESRB.

Responsibility and Discipline in the Digital Realm
Esports has always had the ability to replicate the competitive landscape seen in traditional sports and with all of our staff coming from that background we strive to instill this regimen onto the next generations of esports players. CTEA is dedicated to practice and game schedules, coaching styles, and guidance that imitate AAU Basketball, Club Soccer or Volleyball, or any other non-scholastic sports conference. We participate in tournaments year round, both virtually and in person, composed of some of the best e-athletes of this age range, guaranteeing that you’ll get out what you put in!

Supporting Growth and Anticipating the Future
CTEA is committed to making sure that you improve, not only at the games you choose to play but as an e-athlete. The future paths CTEA members can take varies from getting collegiate scholarships, playing amateur or even professional circuits, or even turning a personal brand into a streamer/creator personality within the gaming ecosystem. Esports as an industry has failed to show the next generation how it is done but at CTEA we want to change that and make sure that the group of players who are up next are well adjusted and prepared individuals, on and off the server.

We Know it isn’t JUST a Game
CTEA understands the importance of individual success so we know that for many it isn’t just a game. We pride ourselves on our coaching staff being from traditional sports backgrounds where the importance of a sound mind and body is the key to success, and nothing is different when you are playing in front of a screen. We promote and provide healthy practices to make sure members recognize the many factors that impact their play, aiming to mitigate and control those factors, turning former banes into boons.

CTEA Memberships are automatically charged on the 1st of the month and will automatically renew unless written notice of cancellation is received at least 2 weeks prior to the 1st of the upcoming month.

Reducing Cost
Getting into esports can be increasingly difficult as the market for PC parts fluctuates based on a variety of factors, but here at CTEA we purchase PC’s and parts from trusted sources so that we can pass the savings on to our members. We also are partnering with the Riverbrook Regional YMCA so you can indulge in dual membership at reduced costs for our programs whilst being able to work on your physical fitness as well as your mental and gaming expertise.
