Local and State Leaders Visit the Y

Wednesday, August 12th was a beautiful day at the Riverbrook Regional YMCA as local and state leaders toured the campgrounds and witnessed the impact of YMCA summer programs firsthand. State Representative Kadeem Roberts, State Representative Savet Constantine, and John L. Cattelan, Vice President of Government Relations for the Connecticut Alliance of YMCAs, joined Riverbrook Regional YMCA CEO Christene Freedman, COO Samantha Lusher, Director of Development Davie Cedela, and Norwalk Community Relations and Program Director Jason Tagariello for a tour of the camp.

Campers from both Camp Gordyland and Camp Sunrise, based in Norwalk, were enjoying an exciting day filled with swimming, baseball, Gaga ball, mini golf, and a special Hot Dog Day celebration. The visit highlighted the vibrant camp experience and the important role the YMCA plays in providing safe, engaging, and enriching summer opportunities for children throughout the community.
