CODE NINJAS: 3D MAKER LAB
IMAGINE IT. DESIGN IT. PRINT IT!
For Ages 7–10
Turn imagination into something you can actually hold!
Join Code Ninjas at the Norwalk Community Center for an exciting six-week journey into the world of 3D design and printing. In this hands-on program, young creators will learn how to take their ideas from the computer screen and bring them to life, layer by layer, using 3D printing technology.
Using beginner-friendly design tools, students will learn how to design, model, and create their own unique 3D projects. No previous 3D design or printing experience is necessary. Code Ninjas instructors will guide students through the creative process in a fun and supportive environment.
Throughout the program, students will:
DESIGN their own 3D creations
LEARN how 3D modeling and printing works
CREATE projects such as keychains, cars, action heroes, custom toys, and more
DEVELOP creativity and spatial reasoning skills
SOLVE fun design and engineering challenges
EXPERIENCE the process of turning a digital idea into a real object
EXPLORE the exciting connection between technology, art, design, and engineering
MAD SCIENCE FALL PROGRAMMING
This fall, Mad Science is bringing two exciting hands-on STEM programs to the Norwalk Community Center!
Fall Fun STEM
Grades K–2
Tuesdays | 4:00–5:00 PM | Sept. 22 – Oct. 27
Big discoveries for little scientists! Each week, students will explore a new hands-on science adventure featuring magnets, hot air balloons, dinosaurs, the human body, rockets, fall-themed experiments, and more.
Each participant receives a Mad Science Lab Coat, Safety Goggles, and Take-Home STEM Activities!
NASA: Space Lab
Grades 3–5
Tuesdays | 5:15–6:15 PM | Sept. 22 – Oct. 27
3…2…1…BLAST OFF! Students will journey through the solar system with exciting NASA-inspired experiments and engineering challenges. They’ll create Galaxy Slime, make an icy comet, discover how astronauts live in space, design a space shelter, explore planets and galaxies, and experience an instructor-led engine-powered rocket launch!
SNAPOLOGY: CREATURE CREATOR
BUILD IT. CODE IT. BRING IT TO LIFE!
Calling all animal lovers, builders, and future coders! Get ready for a RAWR-ing good STEM adventure with Snapology’s Creature Creator!
Students will build and program their own robotic creatures while learning how coding, sensors, and mechanical components work together to make their creations move and respond to commands.
Throughout this exciting hands-on program, students will:
BUILD amazing robotic creatures
CODE their robots to respond to commands
DISCOVER how sensors and mechanical components work
SOLVE fun robotics and engineering challenges
TEAM UP with other young creators
CREATE unique designs while developing real STEM skills
