Wilton Y gymnasts prepare to compete at the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship
Next week, 23 Wilton Y gymnasts will be traveling to the Willow Grove YMCA, a branch of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA to complete as part of the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship from June 20th – 24th 2024 – the largest team to-date to represent Wilton at that forum.
This National competition is the fourth of four YMCA championship meets in 2024 – preceded by the Connecticut Southern League and State Championships (both hosted by the Riverbrook Regional YMCA in Wilton, CT) and, most recently, the New England Regional Gymnastics Championship (hosted by the Plaistow Community YMCA in Plaistow, NH). Last year at Nationals in Cincinnati, OH, nearly 2,000 gymnasts competed representing over 75 YMCA teams from across the country.
Wilton Y gymnasts planning to participate in Nationals include:
Level 2 – Blake Bartlett, Paige Fankhauser, Ava Valletta, Elyse Wohlberg
Level 3 – Greysen Gismondi, Sophia Howell, Caitlyn O’Connor, Caroline Osiecki, Blake Reinking, Eliana Reiter, Ariya Shah
Level 4 – Kaya Baumgold, Audrey Hyland, Madigan O’Shea
Xcel Gold – Teagan Kosche
Level 5 – Addison Grippando
Level 6 – Emery Amero, Abigail Deane, Kyra Doran, Nora Walencikowski
Level 7 – Alyssa Mariani, Allison Massaua, Teagan Stengrim
